Version: January 2025

Protecting your personal data matters to us. This policy explains which data we process when you visit this online shop and place an order, why we do so, and what rights you have. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies.

1. Controller

The controller for data processing in connection with this online shop is Digitec Galaxus AG, Pfingstweidstrasse 60b, CH-8005 Zurich. For privacy questions, contact us at the e-mail address given at the bottom of the page.

2. Data we process

We only process data required to run the shop and fulfil your order:

  • Order and contact data: name, delivery and billing address, e-mail, phone number (if provided), ordered products (colour, storage, quantity, price).
  • Payment data: chosen payment method (TWINT or bank transfer) and receipt of payment. No credit-card data is collected or stored in this shop.
  • Technical data: when you access the site, the web server automatically logs IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system for security and troubleshooting.
  • Voluntary data: if you sign up for an availability alert, we store your e-mail address solely for that purpose.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Conclusion and performance of the purchase contract (confirmation, payment, shipping, warranty).
  • Communication with you about your order or enquiry.
  • Providing your settings (language, delivery country, display mode) and the lucky-wheel discount.
  • Security, fraud prevention and compliance with statutory retention duties.

4. Cookies and local storage

This shop does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Only the following technically necessary information is stored in your browser:

  • Language (German / French / English): cookie valid for one year.
  • Delivery-country and display-mode (light/dark) settings: your browser’s local storage.
  • Lucky wheel: a cookie recording whether this device has already spun and which discount was won, so it can be applied at checkout.
  • Cart: the contents of your cart so they persist between pages.
  • Cookie notice: a note that you have read the cookie information so it is not shown again (local storage).
  • Visitor ID: a randomly generated, pseudonymous identifier (local storage) that links your current order and payment to your session so our team can confirm the payment and show you the payment details. It contains no name or contact data.
  • Last order and chosen payment method: local storage, used to show you the confirmation and payment details after ordering.
  • Guest orders: a secure cookie (HttpOnly, 30 days) linking this device to orders placed without an account so you can check their status.
  • Customer account: the usual WordPress login cookies while you are signed in to your account.

You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings. The shop remains usable; your selections will be lost.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We disclose personal data only as necessary to fulfil your order: to the shipping provider (name and delivery address) and to the payment provider (TWINT or your bank). Our hosting provider processes technical data on our behalf.

Address help in the cart: when you enter your delivery address, the characters typed for the street name and the postcode are sent to the OpenPLZ API service (openplzapi.org) so that matching streets, postcodes and cities can be suggested. Only these address fragments and, technically, your IP address are transmitted; your name, e-mail, phone number and order data are not. The service uses publicly available official address data (Switzerland and Germany). You can also place your order without these suggestions.

We do not share data for advertising purposes or sell data. Authorities receive data only where we are legally obliged.

6. Data security

The connection to this shop is encrypted (TLS/HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

7. Retention

Order and invoice data are kept as long as required for contract performance and statutory retention duties (generally ten years). Server log files are deleted after a short period. Availability-alert e-mail addresses are deleted once the notification has been sent.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to erasure, to restriction of processing and to receive your data in a common format. Please contact the e-mail address given at the bottom of the page. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. External links

This website may contain links to external websites. Their operators are solely responsible for their content and data processing.

10. Changes

We may update this policy if the shop or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
